Went to this lovely restaurant the other week with a couple girlfriends for dinner and was pleas gently surprised! Although this restaurant is kid of a whole in the wall, it was a huge treat to be there. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was very polite. The food was extraordinary, my compliments to the chef, traditional Peruvian food but not boring. Very exciting flavors with bright colors and beautiful plating. My only complaint would be that I had a little trouble finding the restaurant, it is on a busy road and you have to be looking for it to find it. Otherwise, great find!

Went with a Peruvian. Not sure if the names of the dishes for everything we ate, but everything was delicious. We started with 3 appetizers for the table. All three were great. Think the tuna appetizer on panko crumb mixture was Kausas. Was amazing. My favorite if the three. We ended up ordered a second one. I had the tuna steak with coco and ahi limon. The flavored were subtle and well balanced. The tuna was seared and served over mashed potatoes. My husband has the fish and shrimp Acevichados. The fish and shrimp were in a sauce with layers of seasoning. Someone else at the table had the tiradito tricolor. The sauces were so good she asked for a spoon. I tasted the Loma saltado. It was very tasty. My dish, the tuna, was my favorite. We shared three desserts for the table. Again, everything was great. They didn't have a dessert menu, so the only dish I know the name of was the flan, which was firm and not too sweet. Other desserts were good and very sweet. Had a great weekend with super food. Look forwarded to trying some more dishes next time.

I grew up with Peruvian food my whole life (my mom is a great cook lol) Anyways, my brother was visiting from NY and wanted to take my boyfriend and I out for lunch. I've tried great places in Miami but wanted to try this place out due to the great reviews. The ambience is nice but what really upsets me a lot about many Peruvian restaurants is that they focus waaaaaaay more on the appearance than the actual food!!! When we first entered, NOONE greeted us or sat us. There were three available waiters in the back and they looked like deer in headlights when we entered(I like to believe we're decent looking lol). I finally took the initiative to tell them 3 people and even then, they told us to sit anywhere (it was somewhat crowded). Ok cool. The Leche De Tigre is nothing special, Lomo Saltado is too soy sauced down and the ceviche is better in a restaurant two blocks down. Overall, I just want to enforce that if the prices are going to be more than your serving size, then please provide great authentic food and customer service! Unfortunately, this place just didn't do it.

Been driving by this restaurant regularly so we decided to give it a try. Good reviews on Yelp. In a strip of stores with no parking in front. Park on North end of building or in back. They have a rear entrance. In for dinner on a Wednesday night at 6:30. Small, but nice inside and tables not crowded together. Our server, Alberto took good care of us and explained everything. We started with the appetizer Causa de Pollo $8 (3 mashed potato rolls covered with avocado slices and chicken with a nice white sauce. Very tasty. First main dish of Seco de Cordero $17 (A lamb shank with a gravy, white rice and white beans in a bean sauce). Very good. Next main dish of Mahi Macho $16 (Fillet of Mahi-Mahi with white rice, shrimp, calamari rings in a cream sauce). Also very good. Tip is added to your check - 15% for a party under 6 - 18% for 6 or more. I don't like added tips for less than 6 because the servers don't have to earn their tip, but here the service was worth it. We will be back

Wow I honestly don't even know where to begin. I love Peruvian food especially Lomo Saltado. I'm always looking for new Peruvian restaurants to try. I've been hearing about how great Aji Carbon is from reliable sources. I knew that I had to take the plunge and cheat on my favorite Peruvian restaurant that will remain nameless. I was in Bal Harbour a couple of weeks ago with my wife and we were both starving. I figured that it was the perfect time for us to try this place out. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall that faces the street. There is parking in the back of the restaurant. It is a small restaurant that has a home type of feel to it and it is spotless. I'd say that there are probably a maximum of fifteen tables. We were greeted warmly and told to sit wherever we would like. Once we were seated we were presented with menus and Peruvian Canchitas which is a corn nut. The gentlemen gave an explanation as to what Peruvian food was and the diverse flavors that it offers. You could tell that he was super passionate and proud about it. At this point I knew that we were in for a treat!!!! Unfortunately they don't have a liquor license so I couldn't have a Pisco Sour :( They do serve beer and wine though. The menu is a good size with lots of different options. Ohh and the word on the street is that they serve legit Pollo A La Brasa. I decided to go with the Risotto Lomo Saltado as I'm a creature of habit. In my opinion arborio rice is the best in the world and it is the only rice that should be used with any type of a sauce dish. Moving on now that I got that off of my chest. My wife ordered the Risotto Mariscos. As soon as the Karina dropped off the food neither my wife nor I uttered another word. We were enamored with the beautiful presentation of each dish as well as the kick ass smell. So as of now it is love at first sight. Liliane digs as do I and now it is love at first bite!!! The arborio rice was cooked perfectly and already had the dishes sauce mixed in. The sauce was awesome. The meat is a good cut and it is seasoned well. Bite after bite kept delivering that same experience. Liliane loved her mariscos dish. She told me that the seafood was a good mix and that it tasted super fresh. So after murdering our food we discussed ordering dessert or the marisocs and Lomo Saltado again lol. The portions are not huge so don't judge mofo!!! We ended up getting flan for dessert. The flan was awesome. I put it at the same level of my sister in law's flan. It is not overly sweet. Contrary to other reviewers statements we were provided with good friendly service. Karina always made sure that we had what we needed. I learned from her that the owner is also the chef. That seals the deal for me. His passion and love is definitely shown in the food. The prices are in line with most other Peruvian restaurants. In my opinion due to the excellent quality they serve I think that you get the best bang for your buck here. My wife and I will definitely be coming back soon and probably frequently :) I could see this replacing my current favorite Peruvian restaurant that shall still remain nameless. I recommend that you try it here as well. I happily give Aji Carbon my seal of approval.

As already rated, this place has an incredible dish!!! The lomo saltado is the best in town by far! Today I had to congratulate the chef... Well done, woody and well balanced! We also had a cilantro ceviche thatbwas also well done, balanced and the right texture... They made it of grouper as I can't eat most fish... Also had abside order of choclo that I added to the ceviche sauce! recommended! Service is of the best in town. Amiable and very professional! All in all my experience today was very good. Enjoy

Really 3 1/2 stars for me and I might have rounded up to 4, but the service really killed this place for me. We chose Aji Carbon from a Yelp search because of it's creative Peruvian menu, beautifully plated dishes, and what seemed like a moderately priced menu. When I read the Yelp reviews a little closer I also found several complaints about service which virtually ruined the meal. Unfortunately, I also. found this to be true. Our server came to us immediately and was very pleasant. "Whew" I thought, "We are out of the woods." This was not to be true. After we placed our order, we waited about an hour for our appetizers, both of them cerviches! No excuses! It was not even that I was so hungry. I just hate waiting so long for food. I actually ordered the "Tiradito Sampler" ($24) as my meal since I was still stuffed from a huge sandwich I had eaten earlier for lunch. That was kind of a mistake. I thought the sampler would be large enough to eat as a meal but although it arrived on a huge plate, the serving was pretty small. There were three types of fish including tuna and salmon (about 3-4 small, thin slices each) in three different sauces. I do not remember all of the sauces but my favorite was the cilantro. I thought this dish was very expensive for a fairly small portion of fish. My husband ordered the Tiradito de Salmon in a Passion Fruit Reduction. Sweet sauces are not usually my thing but it was good. It was also a much better value than my dish. My husband graciously let me share his main, Risotto de Alcaparras: Two salmon filets atop mounds of risotto. The presentation was artistic. The salmon was well seasoned but a tad over cooked. A nice, well priced dish but did it totally knock my socks off? Not really. I would like to return and try other beautifully presented items on the eclectic menu. I just don't think I can deal with waiting an hour for my food.

Nothing fancy but the Latin locals all swear by it. And now I know why. Ceviche fresh and delish. Lomo very tasty. Great lunch spot. Casual for dinner but that could be good too.

Very good Peruvian food place in North Miami. Went with the family and had pollo a la brasa, lomo saltado, chicken causa and ceviche. All dishes were really good. We wanted to have a good Peruvian option and we found one!

Went there for lunch on a Saturday. We seemed to be the first customers of the day as we arrived at 12:15. We got the Lomo Saltado and 1/2 rotisserie chicken. Both dishes were served hot and fresh each were delicious. The Lomo was marinated steak w onions and peppers served w rice and fries and we couldn't get enough of the gravy sauce. The price was reasonable as well. $28 for 2 entrees (not drinks) including tax and tip. The place had a good vibe and service was friendly. We will definitely be back soon!

Wow so Aji Carbon takes the cake as the best Peruvian restaurant in Miami. For a long time i've searched high and low for ceviche of this caliber, thank the yelp gods for this gem. We started with anticucho sampler and ceviche sampler, each bite was perfection. Next, I had Mahi Macho, mahi mahi with mixed sea food and white rice drowning in a delicious sauce with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, honestly the best seafood dish I have ever had, and that is a lot to say. Recommend 100%, food so good it makes you forget the disco lights and semi Ultra Music Fest playlist.

Great food. Their taste honors the original Peruvian traditional cuisine but it also has a lot of fusion details. Their dish presentation is way better than many other more expensive Peruvian places. Perfect for a family Sunday. And the dishes are big, so sharing is almost mandatory.

  • Moises S.

Not much words, just really amazing food, and dedicated service. All really nice but if you start with an assortment of the "tiraditos" you'll be on perfect culinary ride. Don't miss this upper level taste peruvian jewel.

  • Maria P.

3 stars for me simply cuz the service was very poor, the staff looked like they didn't want to be there let alone take their precious time to serve me, I practically felt they didn't want my business. The food tasted ok tho I got the baked chicken with fries and it was good.

I have tried a lot of Peruvian restaurant and by far the worst chupe. Ceviche was okay. The service was good. The kitchen people were rude and making stupid comments after i returned the chupe. They are also very vissible from the front of the restaurant and their aspect is not the best. One of them even spent sometime in the main salon towering over the waiters and with a bullying attitude. Bad food and not a comfortable place. Try it if you dare. Then come back and like my comment.

AMAZING RISOTTO AND PERUVIAN FUSION Wow what a place. You have to eat any of the risottos that are fusioned with peruvian ceviches and flavors. The presentation of tje food is really exotic. You wont be disappointed

Worst Peruvian restaurant I've ever been to. The food is at best mediocre, but the main thing that made me leave was our terrible waitress who had a condescending attitude the entire time. The rest were lounging behind the bar and either eating or on their phone. We ordered a ceviche, which was made with bottle lime juice, it was disgusting! I'm so disappointed. At the end of this terrible experience and the check came back, she had assumed it was okay to round in her favor because the tip was included. Not recommended at all. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

As a chef, I am usually highly disappointed by most Miami restaurants. One who is very health conscious, the restaurants that meet these nutritional requirements typically lack flavor and any form of seasoning to excite your palette. Aji Carbon goes above and beyond these expectations. It has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Miami area while also being strong in service and quality of food. Although the location is unexpected, it is a MUST for anyone looking for a fantastic and authentic Peruvian meal with a uniquely modern twist. Not only is each dish plated beautifully, the taste is just as wonderful. All of their dishes are packed with flavor and unlike anything I've experienced thus far in Miami. Although I have read "service issues" in these reviews, I have no complaints once-so-ever about service here. The first requirement of a restaurant is to provide quality food in my opinion. Service is also just as important but if a language difference creates a slight barrier, I do not believe this should reflect the quality of your meal or your reviews. Although spanish is not my first language, this is not a problem at all in my eyes. Their servers are extremely trained, well spoken and knowledgeable about the dishes. If a server's first language is not English, or even your own, there is a server who's English may be stronger to meet your needs. Embrace the Peruvian cuisine as it by far one of the best I've experienced thus far. Embrace the culture that you are surrounded by and GET TO AJI CARBON! ;-)

I am just going to start by saying flat out that this restaurant has one of the most fanciest plating I've seen compared to their interior, so don't let the ambiance fool you. They have an extensive (and humorous) menu fit to cater your Peruvian craves, in this case we were allured by two dishes in particular. We had the Yuquitas first. If I had to describe it (and I don't mean to butcher) like mashed tater tots, compact in a petite bite size, filled with gouda cheese and covered in more cheese sauce. It was pretty darn good as what they would call their 'hot appetizer'. We also tried the Causa Sampler, which were basically five types of their causas: tuna salad, shrimp, grilled octopus, ahi tuna acevichado, and classic chicken. Our favorites were the tuna salad and classic chicken, both being very flavorful. The octopus however was a miss for us, mostly because of the bitter tasting sauce. We decided to leave their selection of ceviches for another night. As that sentence entails, we'll definitely be back here again.

Ordered ceviche tres ajįes and papa a la huancaina. Both dishes were out of this world good! And great service from my server Karina, who was very attentive. Not many tables but as it was just me, they gladly offered me an outdoor table and on a perfect evening, why not? The street is also not as busy as the major routes so eating outside was quite pleasant. In the words of good old Arnold, "I'll be back."

Found this place by reading Yelp reviews, and this was a real find! The food here is amazing, and not only does it taste great, it looks beautiful too. Our server, Karina, was friendly and very helpful with suggesting dishes that we should try. We ordered a lot of food and totally cleaned our plates. When we came in for dinner the restaurant was very cold as their AC was going strong, but as the night progressed it got warmer. Still, bring a sweater, just in case! Next time I am in Miami, I'll plan to visit Aji Carbon again.

Small place but nice and cozy! Ceviche was spectacular, finally a place with no swai! The sampler was a great way to taste a little bit of everything (the calamari was nice and crispy). The tacu tacu and spicy sauces they had was also top notch. Service was good. Only thing I really missed and wished they had when it comes down to Peruvian food is the cancha (fried corn). I will definitely be coming back to this local neighborhood gem.

Outstanding cuisine. I recently discovered Peruvian food and have now begun exploring it further. I stumbled upon this quaint restaurant thru Yelp. 5 stars for sure. Only drawback was they don't accept Amex. My Steak entree was their most popular dish. So worth the trip !!!

Great find thanks to Yelp. We started with the ceviche and yukitas, respectively, and both were second to none. I then tried the lomo saltada and my girlfriend had the salmon with risotto. Both dishes exceeded expectations. We will definitely return.

Delicious!! The ceviche is fresh and with good quality white fish. The risotto rococo is to die for! Just the right amount of spice. We also had the lomo salteado which was excellent as well. The chicken causa was decent but def wouldn't order again. Overall a great place with great service a nice gem here in north Miami beach!

Went to this hidden jewel last night with the party of 6. Picked the place out of the blue as a search result on Yelp, therefore, had a scent of uncertainty. What a pleasant surprise it was! A food porn experience! The freshness of ingredients along with the food deliciousness, presentation and service - all was impacable. Best ceviche we've ever tasted. Peruvian risottos, both seafood and with fillet mignon, were out of this world. Same goes for desert. Nothing special about the neighborhood. However, the food, presentation, and the service, all were the best!. Definitely a place to eat at next time we are in town. (Or maybe, tonight again?! We are debating now!) Special thanks to our water, Cesar, who suggested several dishes and provided us with professional service that made our evening very special.

" Oh Peru,Peru, so close and so far too. " So, (modestly speaking) I am well-known of many peruvian restaurants in the country (USA) and in Peru itself, and yes, this Peruvian Restaurant in Miami has decent food, but the main attraction : Pollo a la Brasa is just as good as a Pollo a la Brasa from any *low-key*Lima supermarket. Aji Carbon in N. Miami, has the advantage to get all the right ingredients for delicious meals thank to being few hours fly to Perù but it fails. I don't care about the decoration, parking, or how long it might take me to find it. All I want is to share a well-done Pollo a la Brasa on its secretive marinated "aji-especial" and a crazy hot but savory sauce and the irreplaceable french fries. Is that too much to ask? $$$ I don't think so $$$ . p.s No picture uploaded of my meal in this case its not a sign of how irresistible was my food but a "don't even bother" signage .

A laid back environment, great for families with delicious food! The ceviche mixto was excellent and the risotto de lomo salteado was packed with flavor. You can't go wrong with the menu. Portions were very generous. The only thing missing was a pisco sour to top off our great meal...but the reasonable prices more than make up for it. I will definitely be going back!

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday afternoon, I wasn't expecting much due to the location (almost drove right by). Staff was extremely nice, and the food was AMAZING!!! I wish I lived closer, this would be perfect to bring a date. I live an hour and a half away but I will definitely be back!

Outstanding food. We tried the causa with grilled octopus and it was excellent, full of delightful flavors. We also tried the tuna steaks and the mixed seafood combo. All the dishes were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The ceviche should also not be missed. Finish things off with fresh mango or coconut sorbet ( we had both!) served in their shells. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

There are 71 options on the menu excluding the deserts. I was thrilled with my first lunch: causa de pulpo and parihuela! They have authentic Peruvian food and abundant portions. The most important thing: good service, very rare at Peruvian restaurants!

  • Melanie G.

I REALLY wanted to give this place a 4 or 5 bc the food is DELICIOUS! However, the service was terrible. We came in on a Monday, and there was maybe one or two other tables. And yet, we had to continuously flag down our water to order, get napkins, and refill water. To start we had the ceviche sampler which was AMAZING. It brought a classic ceviche, one in cilantro sauce, one in aji amarillo, and one in rocoto. They were ALL phenomenal, one better than the next. I also had choros a la chalaca, which I get at every Peruvian restaurant that I go to, and these were so good. They also remove the mussel, which makes for easier eating. By this point however, I was so irritated with the service I didn't want to order any more food and asked for the check. And guess what? 15% gratuity is already included. This might explain the sucky ass service. Would I try it again? Yes. But if the service was crappy again, NO. There are too many other great places to eat at to tolerate this type of service.

  • Julia K.

We got two of the tiraditos, which were really the best part of the whole meal. The fish was fresh and the sauce was great. I got the chicken which was pretty good and my bf get some fish with coconut milk sauce, which wasn't that great. Overall, I think I would go back and just do tiraditos and ceviche and that would make for a fantastic meal!

  • Giulia R.

Service was WACK! but the food was sooooooo delicious!! If you want to enjoy some great peruvian food in a loud and messy environment and wait 40min minimum for the check, this is the right place for you. If you like privacy or a quick dinner i would not recommend.

I am definitely a fan of this place. Having been here twice, I have not been disappointed! food is delicious..Piqueo Marinero is one of my favorites as well as the Causa Sampler which are both good for sharing at a decent price. The Seafood Fried Rice (Chaufa) was great! they pan seared the mussels which shows how much they care about the food they provide. I can't say they are one of the best in terms of Ceviche but definitely very good overall and near my area! I will be coming here quite often.

  • Daniela R.

This place really proves that a restaurant doesn't have to be fancy or upscale to excellent. Definitely one of the best Peruvian restaurants I've been to in a while. I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the service. We ordered four appetizers, the yucitas with cheese, a ceviche sampler, a tiradito sampler and a causa de pollo. The best were the yuca bites and the tiraditos. For main courses were ordered 3 risottos and a lomo salteado. The pesto and lomo risotto was very good but it lacks something, maybe roasted tomatoes or Parmesan cheese would have been good. The shrimp risotto with huancaina and passion fruit sauce was hands down the best. It was perfectly spicy. The lomo salteado is a classic and hard to mess up. The only slight disappointment was the dessert. They ran out of suspiro limeño which is my favorite dessert. The chocolate cake I felt was to dry. The could improve on their desserts. Other than that, the place is amazing and I highly recommend it. Finally, we would just like to give a shout out to Cesar who was an exceptional server and always does an excellent job.

Good food but the portions have gotten smaller. Beware of hidden charges. They charged us 9.00 extra for some sauce. When we asked to see the manager the waiter told us he is busy. It's not the same from when it opened. I will not return

It was kind of hard to find at first since it's kind of hidden in the small strip that it's in. There's parking on the side where the law office is next to it, behind and on the street. Free parking all around. The place is casual dining and not so big. The service isn't terrible, but they're not very attentive. They didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in so I sat myself down. Ask for cold water if you want it cold since it's served room temperature. They have a great selection of ceviche, which I love! I had the clasico ceviche and lomo Saldatos as a main entree. The prices are great for the portions you get. I can't wait until my next visit so I can try the ceviche sampler, which comes in 4 different dishes of ceviche for $24.

  • John P.

I just came back from dinner there, we ordered the Tacu Tacu con Lomo $16 & the Tacu Tacu Surf Turf $24. The surf and turf is really enough food for two with an appetizer, or not app food for one. The service is good and the staff is friendly, depending on the time you may have to wait for a table. With that being said I would recommend this place.

The tiradito tuna ginger is one of the best things I have ever eaten. The Carisa's sampler was yummy too. And everything is beautifully presented. Karina is a great server. All of the entrees were extraordinary. I had the Mahi Macho and it was great.

Excellent ceviche, excellent service. Waiter was happy to recommend things and describe them with a lot of detail. My husband had the leche de Tigre and ceviche both very good. I decided to have the tacu tacu with shrimp in cilantro sauce and it was excellent. Highly recommend this place.

Small restaurant with a wide menu. We went for lunch on Sunday and it was packed. We needed to wait like 10 minutes for a table which was fine. We had two dishes: The ceviche mixto which was OK: The presentation was good, but the "Leche de tigre" was a little sour. We also had the Risotto with lomo saltado which was really good, in good temperature (I hate cold food brought to my table so this was a plus for me). I would come back to this restaurant but not on a busy day since they need to improve their service (Nice and attentive but very slow).

Went to Aji Carbon for my first time, not willing to listen to the advice given to me prior to arriving. I needed to try this place on my own. The presentation of the food was nicely done. Our waitress was Vanessa, she was charming. The ceviche were absolutely distasteful and very away from what a Peruvian Ceviche is. Specially the Amarillo, tasted like pure vinegar, or as if it was made out of the Aji Amarillo Pepper can. Terrible balance between acidity and savory. Should probably not squeeze the lime to it's core. I can wholeheartedly say ceviche is not their forte. On the contrary the causas were delicious. We got the sampler. All of them were delicious, great job on the sauces chef. The Jalea was okay. Nothing too impressive. Again having problems with the balance between acidity and salty. ie: the salsa criolla. Also, there was no canchita by the time we arrived. : (. The Chaufa was of good proportion, flavor was okay. Everything was overall okay. But nothing compare to what Peruvian Food can actually be. I have had better food in the avenida Balta, Chiclayo Peru.

Beware of the added on charges!!! One night at dinner the waitress said they ran out of the corn kernels that they usually put on the table. She asked if she could get us something else and then brought out another type of corn. When the bill came they had charged us for it!! Also, I asked for some sauce with my meal. At no point did the waitress say that there was an extra charge. when the bill came we had about $15 in extra charges for sauce and corn. We asked to speak to the owner and he refused to come out of the kitchen. Terrible service

Randomly stumbled upon this hidden gem! I am a young chef who moved to South FL a year ago, and this is probably the best restaurant I have been to here yet! Everything from menu selections, presentation of plates, execution, flavor, portion size, price and service was amazing!

Passed by here several times but would have never thought to even give it a shot if it wasn't for the positive reviews on yelp. Not too fond of the area but the place was packed with locals most likely from Aventura. As far as ceviche I ordered the tiradito Amarillo. Might have been the best I have ever had. Sauce was fantastic. Had the lomo saltado for dinner which again was seasoned and cooked perfectly. For dessert tried a Peruvian fruit dish with some chocolate and dulce De leche which was surprisingly good. Gratuity was included which i don't get since it is not a touristy area but I Will definitely be returning soon.

I'm a big fan of Peruvian food, but this place is not what I expected. First me and my wife ordered an appetizer "Yuquitas" which was tasty, but too small of a portion for the price. Then we tried to get the attention of our waiter to order our meal, but it seemed near impossible. Finally we got a hold of him and ordered "Aji de Gallina." After a 40 minute wait, the food arrived and TADADADA! it was freezing cold like if they just left it out the entire time. So I tried to get the waiters attention, but again he was no where to be seen. I got up and talked to another waiter, and got the food sent back. Finally our meal arrived hot (reheated in the microwave), and we got to take a bite of the chicken. After the first bite we were both certain the chicken tasted like melted kraft cheese and bland chicken. At this point we were so upset, but we had no choice but to finish our meal. When we finished the waiter brought us the check, and the total included a 15% tip! Even though he provided no service whatsoever to us! So in conclusion do't ever eat in a place with so little reviews, especially not this one. The service is horrendous, the food is bland, and they take a 15% tip no matter what.

AMAZING!! Beautiful, delicious, authentic Peruvian food. So good. This place is a hidden treasure. Looks & tastes like it should be on south beach but is right in my neighborhood.

Food here is consistently good but the table service has room to improve. Go for the ceviches and tiraditos rather than the larger dishes. Risottos are good but skip the pastas. Note to management: it wouldn't hurt to decorate a little. Overall a positive dining experience. I would definitely return.

I was very satisfied with both the service & Price! Food was exceptional. We had A whole Red Snapper & their Chiefs special Ceviche! Both were an excellent choice and would choose them again...

Very good surprise to find this restaurant in Yelp. The food is delicious, we had the ceviche sampler, the rocoto sauce was amazing, and we shared the lomo saltado risotto, which is one of the best I've tried. I definitely recommend the place and look forward to see them grow, in a nicer and larger location.

Honestly the best Peruvian food I've had outside of Perú. Their Ceviche is simple yet magnificent. Their grilled octopus is good, however is not as good as Cholo's. However, where the restaurant trully shines it's in its lomo saltado (which I cannot recommend highly enough) and its pollo a la brasa (rotisserie chicken). you owe it to yourself to try this place.

This place is pretty good for a Peruvian restaurant. I found out about this place because a family member posted some pictures of their dinner on Instagram and I had to check it out. We ordered the Ceviche Carritellero which was the traditional ceviche served with fried calamari. And we also ordered Tacu Tacu a lo Macho, which is rice and white beans fried with a seafood sauce over it. That was delicious. And for dessert we ordered Souffle de Ganabana. My mother and I shared these dishes, plus she ordered a beer, and total with tip was $45 which I thought was pretty decent. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because some of the fish chunks were not marinated enough so they felt raw, and the Souffle was frozen when it arrived at our table, which made it a little hard to eat but it was still very tasty. I liked it overall, and will definitely be back :)

My friend and I went here the other day, because we live so close to the restaurant. We were blown away! The food is outstanding and the entire service staff was friendly and made you feel at home. Our server helped us out a lot with the menu and recommendations! You have to go here for authentic Peruvian cuisine!

I ordered the Polla A la Brasa. It was delicious and reasonably priced. The fries that came with it and the sauces were both very tasty as well. I got my food to go and they really did a terrific job. Will definitely return with my girlfriend to try the rest of the menu.

My another great found in Peruvian food... I used to go to Cholos on NE163st, now I switched my spot!! Their Ceviche is fresh, my favor is the yellow creamy sauce with chicken!! better than El Gran Inka! Tacu Tacu outstanding,.... roast chicken , never try, but you will see a big lunch crowd came for that , I thought the major reason is 1/2 ck and 2 sides for $7!!! Service is good even though the waiter doesn't spoke perfect English but he did try very good!!!! Parking at the back, quite a lot spaces. Price is xcellent.

I went out craving ceviche and found this restaurant from yelp. I saw the reviews and was a little hesitant about going because of the bad service reviews. But I thought I would give this place a chance because the pictures looked amazing. The server was a tall skinny waiter who was attentive at first but as soon as it started getting busy, we were put on the back burner. The food was ok; there are definitely better places to get ceviche. All the food came out at the same time and we got refills on our water once, but other than that he did not ask how the meal was or how we were doing. There was another waitress who stopped by the tables every once in a while to check on guests...like a waiter should. We did not get the check for 20 minutes and when we asked for it, he was annoyed that we asked. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone. The service was terrible!

As a native Peruvian I've tried my fair share of Peruvian restaurants in Miami and this is one of the best by far. I've been going since it opened and haven't stopped. The traditional Rotisserie chicken (Pollo a la brasa) is my favorite dish in my country's vast culinary variety and this place restaurant is about as close as you're gonna get to tasting it in Lima. The Causa is great, so is the ceviche. Highly recommend it.

My dad took me to this place tonight claiming that the chicken was just like the one from Peru. I didn't believe it...but he was right! The service was great, and the food exceptional. I'll be back again!
